(In this series I intend to incorporate some of my favourite pieces by various artist into my own work, in collage form.) This series is about taking apart the old and putting back together the new and the better.
This particular piece is about being open to vulnerability and finding strength in oneself even in the most turbulent of times.
The artist I’ve chosen for the collage work is Van Gogh’s, Roses and Sunflower, because even though he continually faced misfortune in love and life and was only truly appreciated for his work after his death, Van Gogh still sought salvation in his art form and endlessly created beautiful pieces that were true to himself.
