Dance of the rising

Growing up, I remembered watching Pocahontas specifically the song; Colors of the wind

And from this song I quote

” You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name ”

This piece is a depiction of the dance of recreation embodied through the character  of Pocahontas; a fond childhood heroine of mine, and many other younger minds. The Phoenix, a symbol for rebirth has been presented in two shades one of strict patterns in plain black and the other in the fluidity of colors, representing a form of transformation of life and energy. As energy can never be destroyed only transformed from one form to another. And like everything on this earth with its cycles of life and death, decay and rebirth the dance of rising is danced over and over again.
